Current obligations still depend on contract language, DFARS requirements and applicable NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 2 assessments. Is CMMC still happening in 2026?

Yes, but implementation changed in July 2026. DoW announced that Phase II was suspended and that implementation remains paused in Phase I while the program is reviewed. Existing DFARS and NIST SP 800-171 obligations still matter, and contract-specific CMMC requirements must be evaluated carefully.

Does Atlantec perform CMMC certification assessments?

No. Atlantec provides readiness and implementation support. When an independent C3PAO assessment is required, the certification assessment must be performed by an authorized CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization.
